How does Suave process payments? Why does it look like a double charge?
Suave automatically charges the card linked to your account on the scheduled date. You don't need to take any action — payments happen on their own.
Why bank statements sometimes show 'double' payments
When a payment is processed, your bank places a temporary authorization hold to confirm funds are available. Once the transaction settles, the hold is released and the real charge posts. On your statement, this sequence may look like:
DATE — HOLD FL XXXX (temporary hold placed).
DATE — MONTHLY PAY CHARGE FL XXXX (actual charge).
DATE — REVERSAL OF HOLD FL XXXX (hold released).
This looks like a double charge but is just normal processing. No duplicate payment occurred.
Tip: To confirm there's no real duplicate, check your statement for the reversal of the hold. If you don't see it after a few business days, chat with us and we'll look into it.
